Account and spaces

Your account holds your team and your bill. It contains one or more spaces, one per brand or product.

Each space has its own sending domains, contacts, lists, campaigns, flows, templates, API keys, webhooks and AI connections. Each one also has its own sending reputation: a complaint spike on one brand never pauses the others. Contacts are never shared between spaces, even when the same address is in both.

Your first space is created during onboarding. Add more in Account › Spaces › New space (Admin or Owner). The free plan includes one space; the paid plan has no limit. Spaces created on the paid plan stay if you go back to free, but you can't add new ones.

Switch between spaces from the space menu at the top of the sidebar.

Use one space per brand your recipients know. A company with a product newsletter and a separate customer blog under the same name can use one space with two lists. Two products with different names and audiences deserve two spaces.

Space settings

Settings › General holds the space name, its timezone (used to schedule campaigns and read reports), the default sender and reply-to, open and click tracking, and an optional daily marketing limit.

Deleting a space

An owner can delete a space from Settings › General › Delete this space. Its contacts, campaigns, flows, templates and history are deleted with it. An account keeps at least one space.

Members and roles

Account › Members lists everyone in the account. Members see every space of the account. Each one has a role:

RoleCan
MemberManage contacts, lists, segments, signup forms, suppressions, campaigns, flows and transactional templates; send and approve campaigns
AdminEverything a member can, plus sending domains, API keys, webhooks, AI connections, space settings, new spaces and invitations
OwnerEverything an admin can, plus billing, deleting spaces and managing owners

Invite someone

Admins and owners click Invite, enter an email address and choose Member or Admin. The person receives an email with a link to join. Pending invitations can be revoked from the same page.

To make someone an owner, invite them as an admin, then an owner changes their role. An account always keeps at least one owner.

Sign-in

Sign in with your email and password, or with a 6-digit code sent by email. A forgotten password is replaced with a code.

Set a password and turn on two-factor authentication in Profile › Login and security. With two-factor on, Kula asks for a code from your authenticator app after the password or the email code. Save the 10 recovery codes: each one replaces the app once.

Account API keys

Space API keys act on a single space. An account API key works on every space of the account and can create new ones: use it to run several brands from one backend, or to create a space per customer of your own product. Admins create them in Account › Account API keys. Spaces API.
